A Cup of Blessing
"Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful; for beauty is God's handwriting - a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every flower, and thank God for it as a cup of blessing." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Wishing all of you a cozy cup of blessing to savor on this lovely first day of November, with perhaps a bite of something sweet as well.

Savoring Summer
It is Queen Anne's Lace Season! Take a moment to stop along the road and study one. I didn't choose this flower for no reason. It is a miracle with thousands of perfect tiny white blossoms artfully arranged in each bloom. She even has a purple heart. And to think God sprinkles them everywhere for us to enjoy effortlessly. Stand in a field of them and breathe in their fragrance. It is the essence of summer. She is the Queen of the Wildflowers. Long may she reign!

On My Knees
"Your voiceless Lips, O flowers, are living preachers, each cup a pulpit, and each leaf a book."
~ Horace Smith ~
Off to spend a precious day in the gardens at the Master Gardener's feet to listen and learn.
Wishing each of you a glorious summer's day...

Wishing You Sweet Days of Summer
"Slower! sweet June,
And slower still;
Let all your matchless beauty thrill
My soul! stretch out this day so bright
Far, far, along midsummer's height,
'Till sunset back to sunrise glow,
Sweet June! be slow."
~Julia Hay
